  • We support and care for adults living with a learning disability, who may also have a diagnosis of autism, in specialist supported living, residential services and hospitals. Our aim is to deliver effective and outcome based services within person centred, professional care environments, supporting people to have the most choice and independence possible. We set high standards for ourselves in the delivery of care, and most importantly, we put the people we support at the heart of everything we do.

  • Located in a picturesque village near to Barnard Castle, County Durham, Whorlton Hall is a specialist hospital providing assessment and intervention for up to 17 men and women living with a learning disability and complex needs.


    Whorlton Hall is a beautiful and spacious detached, grade 2 listed period property, surrounded by stunning countryside in an idyllic village location. The service comprises of three separate elements that support people with varying levels of need along their care pathway towards more independent living.


    There are a number of living areas, as well as an activities hub for crafts, games and skills sessions, a recreation room with pool and table football, an IT suite and a beauty and aromatherapy room. There is also a life skills kitchen where people can practice their skills ready for moving on. Whorlton Hall is set in large grounds surrounded by lawns and seating areas. The people we support enjoy using the outdoor sporting equipment including playing games of football and cricket.
