    What will the role invole?

    Reporting to the Head of Training, you will work as part of the Regional Operations team to support staff development in the organisation by enabling them to help improve the health and well-being of service users in order to attain positive outcomes.

    You will facilitate and deliver a comprehensive training and development programme including induction, Conflict Management & Resolution (MAYBO), core and specialist training at regional level.   This will include statutory and mandatory training and advisory service for all staff disciplines throughout the region.

    All successful applicants will be required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) in respect of regulated work with protected adults and regulated work with children. A PVG certificate contains all unspent and certain spent conviction information. It also contains any other non-conviction information that the police or other

    government bodies think is relevant. Disclosure Scotland continually monitor PVG scheme members' records for vetting information including criminal convictions that may affect their suitability to work with vulnerable groups.

  • Situated in an ideal location on the edge of Hemlington, Middlesbrough, Coulby Lodge is a residential service supporting up to eight adults who are living with a learning disability and complex needs, and who may have an autistic spectrum condition.

     

    Coulby Lodge consists of two four bedroom detached buildings, each set in their own private garden. Both buildings have their own living space and kitchen diners, to help promote independent living. All eight bedrooms are ensuite, and the people who use the service are encouraged to personalise and decorate their rooms how they want them to be.

     

    Overlooking the North Yorkshire countryside, the gardens have their own space for relaxing either alone or enjoying other people’s company.
