    So what will the job involve?
    You will undertake work that is meaningful to our service users and socially important within the local community – working for Danshell will provide you with the opportunity to support vulnerable adults – some of which may present with challenging behaviour - achieve their goals.

    The main focus of the role will be to provide safe, sound and supportive care to the people who use our service. You will have working relationships with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, including service users' families and loved ones. 

    As a role model to our service users, you will ensure care receive is dignified and respectful and in accordance with care plans.

  • Location Information
  • Based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, Thornfield Grange supports people with autistic spectrum conditions who are also living with a learning disability and complex needs. The team can also support individuals who have complex behaviours, as well as those who have significant difficulties with social engagement. People may come to Thornfield Grange for many reasons. They may be moving on from a hospital setting or may require a service which can support them more than a residential placement. It may be that they are leaving a residential or home setting and require a little support during a difficult period in their life, or they could be on a pathway to a place of their own.
